LOCATION:


Jaitak fort is situated about 15 km. from Nahan in District Sirmaur in the Himachal Pradesh (India) . An ascent of about 3 km. has to be negotiated from Jamta to gain Jaitak.
              

CONSTRUCTION:

The fortress was cnstructed by Ranjor Singh Thapa , when he attacked & sacked Nahan in about 1810.            



                                                                                


  BATTLE 

It was the most important battle was faught  between the British and the Gurkhas. As a result the Nepali army defeated the British and Sirmaur army under the leadership of Amar Singh Thapa in 1850 AD.
